Next week I have plans for tons of exciting posts. Mostly food of course.
There are the promised recipes for these:
And these:
I also created a new recipe yesterday that I’m positive you all will love.
It includes chocolate. And peanut butter.
There’s also some pictures from a trip that I’ll share either on Monday or Wednesday.
But… for now I just want to enjoy the rest of my Spring Break, free from the woes of photo editing and proofreading recipe instructions for accuracy.
Today I just want to share an update of a post I did in January about all of the things that I am loving currently.
Current Book: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
Current Music: Country radio station. In particular, I’m really digging the song Merry Go Round from Kacey Musgraves. My favorite line is: Mama’s hooked on Mary Kay/ Brother’s hooked on Mary Jane/ And Daddy’s hooked on Mary two doors down. I love play on words.
Current Guilty Pleasure: Pretty Little Liars. What did you all think of the last episode. I’m conflicted because I’m glad Spencer is getting a little more air time, but I also feel like the episode went absolutely no where. Kind of a place filler. This girl was right.
Current Nail Color: I always go the cheap route… None.
Current Drink: H20. (I’m very particular about what kind though)
Current Food: Right now my favorite soup combo would have to be chicken soup with kabocha squash and peas. Yum!
Current TV Show: I’m about half way through the first episode of Bunheads on Hulu. I’m not sure what I think about it yet.
Current Wish List: Another week of Spring Break.
Current Need: A full 8 hours of sleep. Hmm… Pretty similar to last time. It doesn’t help that no matter how hard I try, I’ve been waking up at 5:30-6:30 every morning on break so far. That’s just not normal.
Current Triumph: I’ve kept pretty busy all break, no slouching off just because I don’t have school. Everyday I do about an hour or two of cleaning around the house. On Tuesday I went to the Dentist, dropped off something to my brother at school, went to the local butcher to purchase some chickens, and that night I drove about three hours to another state with my dad. On Wednesday I had my internship interview and then we drove another three hours home. Thursday I got a haircut (two whole inches. Yay!), went to a Chinese restaurant with my friends, and proceeded to do a little shopping. My splurge purchase? Dish washer soap.
Current Bane of my Existence: Those people who are all about themselves. You know the ones.
Current Celebrity Crush: Leonardo DiCaprio. Again. I’m not sure this will be changing anytime soon.
Current Indulgence: Not anything really that I’ve been eating. Just all of the baking that I’ve been doing for my family.
Current Blessing: Realizing that I have three more days of break. Better make the most of them!
Current Slang: “He’s a bum” when referring to my brother. I think it was when he refused to go shopping with me or something. Or maybe when he didn’t want to take out the dog…
Current Outfit: Maroon Nike sweat pants and old high school t-shirt (Old pic. Same shirt).
Current Excitement: The prospect of watching Silver Linings Playbook this weekend.
Current Mood: Tired. Is that a mood? Hmph. I’m too tired to care. Ha.
Current Link: Chowstalker.com. Two more recipes accepted!

Love this post
– Silver Linings Playbook is SO good! I hope you enjoy it. Let us know what you think. – Reading this post made me really miss college. Seriously. Real world jobs and routines don’t even compare. I wish I would’ve realized this while I was in the thick of it! – It sounds like you have been so productive, love it! When I had my week off in January, I was such a bum. – Looking forward to the upcoming recipes!!
Thanks for the awesome comment!
I really liked Silver Linings Playbook. And while I hope you’re wrong about the real world… I know you’re right
I’ll do my best to enjoy it while it lasts!
So much going on in this post. Stupid PLL and that stupid episode. I had good feelings about it too. Anyways, can’t wait for the recaps and recipes and everything else! My guilty pleasure lately: starburst jelly beans. I can’t get enough!
That episode was just a whole lot of nothing. I kept on expecting something to happen, but nooo… Stupid.
Do you like black licorice jelly beans? Those were always my favorite when I was younger, especially because no one else seemed to like them and would always give me theirs
Yes!!! I can’t wait to hear what you think of silver linings playbook
i really liked the first season of bunheads…haven’t seen the second yet but i think the first gets better as it goes along! Enjoy the rest of your weekend girl!!
I LOVED Silver Linings Playbook. I watched it on Saturday with my whole family and it was the perfect end to my Spring break. And I agree- Bunheads does get better as it goes along. I’m really liking it.
I hope you get some time to relax too on your break. Break is all about just letting some have to’s slide!!
I tried. And failed. Sort of. Lol. I didn’t get to sleep in or rest much, but it was definitely more relaxing than a week at school, so that’s good enough I suppose!
Ahh those pictures of the food look soo good. Really looking forward to the recipes.
Glad to hear your time off is going well. I like keeping busy as well even if I’m on holiday. I just can’t sit still! And it’s so satisfying to get those niggling jobs done that you can’t ordinarily do when you’re busy with work/school.
I’m crossing my fingers that everyone likes them!
And those “niggling jobs” as you put it were perfect for the days when otherwise I would have stayed at home doing nothing. Cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc. They made me feel more accomplished about my day. A super productive Spring break!
I wake up early too!! I hate it! I wish I could get 8 hours of sleep!! I so with you one the celebrity crush!! I will always love him after seeing The Titanic! lol I really want to silver linings playbook too! Jennifer Lawrence is such a good influence to girls about body image! Can’t wait for your recipes!!
Yes, without fail, no matter what time I go to bed I always end up waking up early. The absolute latest that I “sleep in” is 9:00, and that’s only on weekends after a super hard week. Not very often. This past spring break I don’t think I ever slept past 7:00
I blame my dad for instilling that “early to bed, early to rise..” mumbo jumbo on me at a young, impressionable age. Ha.
Did you watch The Titanic in 3D this past year? It wasn’t much different than the original, but I just wanted to be able to say that I saw THE TITANIC in the theaters. Lol.
And that is one of the things that I love about Jennifer Lawrence. She really is a great role model.
I love Bunheads! It fills the void left by Gilmore Girls. Definitely give it at least a few episodes if you’re on the fence.
I was on the fence, but I took your advice and watched a few more episodes… Then I finished all of the ones available on Hulu. Love it!
SHERLOCK HOLMES, PEANUT BUTTER, AND CHOCOLATE?! You have won my heart.
I’m obsessed with leo! And I also take the cheap way out on nail polish!
He is seriously one of the best actors I have ever seen. And plus, it doesn’t hurt that he’s not too bad to look at either
And yay for cheapos! Haha.
mmmm looking forward to any recipe that involves chocolate and PB!
Enjoy the rest of your break
Thanks. Spring Break was great.
That picture of Leo in Great Gatsby (I think)…gah. I cannot wait for that movie! And I officially need to rent Silver Linings Playbook TONIGHT. Can’t go any longer without watching it.
You need to see BOTH movies
I hope you ended up watching Silver Linings Playbook because I thought it was absolutely awesome!! And I can’t wait for The Great Gatsby to come out in May. So. Excited.
I was skimming through our Amazon Prime account and the free shows – Bunheads was one of them… Worth watching? And I was Silver Linings a while back and thought it was fabulous – hope you enjoy it
The first episode left a lot to be desired, but I quickly ran through all of the episodes that Hulu had to offer this weekend
It’s pretty cute.
Silver Linings Playbook is a fantastic movie. I think you’ll really like it. Easily one of the best movies of last year
I did like it. I would agree- Probably my favorite movie in awhile
Leo is totally my celebrity crush too. He’s just sooo dreamy. I remember back in like 4th grade I ordered the “all about Leo” book from the bookclub. Definitely still have it.
I actually found that book at a used book sale at the library last year and gave it to my best friend for her birthday. Lol. She’s a fan of Leo too
Silver Linings Playbook is a great movie! I’m curious to hear your opinion but am sure you’ll enjoy it in anyway
.
That time quote is so true. Hope you get to enjoy your last days of break and maybe even sleep in a little. I’ll forever be impressed by all bloggers’ early get-up times – and never admit mine
.
You were right- I really really enjoyed it
Sleeping in is good too. I could have definitely used more of that during break.
Enjoy the rest of your break! Can’t wait for the chocolate/peanut butter recipe
Thanks, I did! I hope you like the recipe.
You had my attention at ‘chocolate’! Looking forward to those recipes!
I haven’t seen Silver Linings Playbook, either. I usually don’t like rom-coms, but I’ve heard it’s really good. Putting it on my wishlist.
Haha. That was the idea
I have to admit that I am a fan of romantic comedies (I love you for not saying “chick flicks”
Lol), but most of the time I don’t like rated R movies because of unnecessary “additions,” but this one was really well put together.
That soup combination sounds SO good! I still havent seen silver linings playbook, I can’t wait to see it, i dont even know if it’s still in theaters though. Hope you enjoy the rest of your break!
It’s my favorite combo. The broth gets so creamy and sweet when cooked with the peas and squash.
Silver Linings Playbook was great. It’s still in theaters where I’m at, so maybe you’ll get lucky and it’s at one near you too
I am SO looking forward to these recipes to come, especially the one involving peanut butter AND chocolate!! It looks darn good!
Working on editing the pictures right now actually!
Just need to make the time to get the posts and recipes written up…
Can’t wait for the recipes! And I agree- Pretty Little Liars is my guilty pleasure too, but last episode didn’t get anywhere. Looking forward to tomorrow’s!:)
I hope you like the recipes. Just posted two of them a minute ago for this week’s WIAW
And you are right. Pretty Little Liars went absolutely NOWHERE during the last episode. You’ll have to tell me what you think of the next one. I always have to wait a day or two for it to come out on Hulu because I don’t have a TV.
Ok, I am legit excited for all these posts next week. Especially the chocolate one! I love Pretty Little Liars (currently two weeks behind, but was pretty devastated with the whole Toby thing). Also, Silver Linings Playbook is absolutely brilliant – I’m sure you’ll love it
I was seriously devastated by Toby too. Spencer and Toby were my favorite couple on the show. And you were right- I watched it Saturday and I loved it
Chocolate and peanut butter. You were right. I already love it, whatever it is. How’d the interview go? I was totally rooting for you and make sure you relax a little on your spring break. You’re suppose to be the “bum.” Now is your chance so bum it up.
Current guilty pleasure….not blogging this week. Takes a lot if the pressure off and means I can get caught up on my favorite blogs. I haven’t seen Silver Linings Playbook yet and I totally want to.
I can only imagine the major pressure relief from not blogging. On the otherhand, I would probably be anxious to start back up though at the same time. You will love Silver Linings Playbook. Although both of the main characters suffered from some serious mental illnesses, I could totally relate to them and what they were going through. Just fantastic acting throughout the whole cast.
All your recipes to come look delicious! I need a full 8 hours sleep too….ahhhh, makes such a difference!
Thanks!
I’ve been getting 8 hours of sleep at school so far this week. Let’s hope it continues… Kind of ironic that I get more at school than at home over break though, huh?
