Marvelous in my Monday (11/05/12)

Hi everyone!

I don’t have much time to write today because I have two huge papers due tomorrow (yikes!), but I did want to at least pop in, and I figured a short Marvelous in my Monday would be the perfect way.

Marvelous is…

Getting to go home for the weekend and experiment in the kitchen.

Yep… Another Squash recipe coming at ya!

Apple-y goodness.

Marvelous is…

Spending some time with my family, just sitting and relaxing on the couch, watching some movies.

Marvelous is…

My roommate who is way more prepared than me. And kindly “lent” me an antihistamine for my allergy shot-swollen arm. Even if it did knock me out at 9:30… At least the swelling went down.

I may look happy, but trust me. I WAS NOT HAPPY… I mean, L@@K at my arm!!

Marvelous is…

Seeing something catch on that you started (or… Restarted I should say!).

The accent vlog has kicked off once again since I did this post.

So far I have only seen Bec, Jess, Chelsie and Sloane do Accent Vlogs, but if you did one too, let me know! I’d love to watch it!

Here is mine again in case you missed it:

Marvelous is…

All of the wonderful and generous people who are starting Sandy Relief funds and giving a helping hand to those in need. One such fund was the Sandy Telethon which raised around 23 million dollars!

Here are just a few of the other ways that people are helping out:

Angela at Oh She Glow’s Hurricane Sandy Disaster Fundraiser. As of 7:56 AM today her donation page as raised $7,970!!

Katie at Chocolate Covered Katie’s clicks-for-cash-esque fundraiser. Basically, ever dollar that exceeds her revenue last month will be donated to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Anne from fANNEtastic Food is having a Hurricane Sandy Relief Auction Fundraiser, and all money (excluding shipping) will be donated to the Sandy cause.

And finally,

Marvelous is…

My parents, who spent four hours of their day driving me up and back to college yesterday. And they didn’t get back until 8:46 PM… Love them!

  1. Oh my gosh your vlog is adorable!
Crazy stupid love is amazing! Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling=perfection. I saw the perks of being a wallflower this weekend. It was amazing. I cried the whole time.
    have a wonderful day!

    • Aw, thanks!

I wish there had been more scenes of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling… Like the entire movie! 🙂 So perfect!

I’ve been wanting to see Perks of Being a Wallflower. Thanks for the recommendation. Now I definitely need to watch it!

Hope you have a great day too.

  2. Madi — you are SOOOO flipping adorable!! I love you in your vlog! Kinda just want to wrap you up and eat you with a topping of parmaSEEan. 😉
Crazy Stupid Love = TOTAL favourite of mine!!! Ryan Gosling + Emma Stone FTW!!
Love you girlie. Hope your arm is continuing to mend!! xo

    • Hehe. Your comment definitely made me smile 🙂

I kind of wish that it hadn’t been a Redbox rental and that I owned it instead… I could watch Ryan Gosling all day!

My arm is doing great. Thanks. It only stays swollen for a day or two after the allergy shot. Thankfully I only get one every 3 weeks now, because before when it was every week my arm barely had time to rest!

    • You totally need to do a vlog, and this Accent one would be perfect!

I was really nervous about my voice too. I know everyone says this, but I HATE the way my voice sounds when it’s recorded, so you are not alone in your nervousness 🙂

  5. I hope you got your papers done. It looks like you had a great weekend at home. Did you like the movie? I haven’t seen it, but kinda want to. My arm sometime swells like that when I get shots. It’s crazy so I know how you feel. Little Benadryl should cure it no problem. Although, as you already know, it’ll knock you out.
