Finally… It’s Friday and I’m Officially Launched!

FRIDAY-OVER

Whew. So that’s over.

What’s over you ask?

My customer support training!!

There are still a few steps to take before I can officially say that I’m done, but I think it’s pretty safe to say that the long hours are finally over…

Haha. Just kidding. I’ll now have the same hours as always, but I just won’t be walking back and forth between training classes, mock calls, and my desk. Soon and very soon it will be 24/7 cubicle.

I’m not entirely sure whether I like this thought or not. I’ve heard that the first week after training is an absolute nightmare on the phones. Interns get really stressed out apparently about being let off their leash. Hmm. I can totally see that happening to me. Some of the guys are like “Freedom!” I’m over here like “Don’t leave me alone!”

But I digress. My first day of launching didn’t go too bad. I had a few kooky questions. However, overall I got lucky with pretty easy problems to solve.

I should share more because that’s how blogs work. I write. You read.

Right now though I need to sleep. My brain is fried like a deep fried oreo…

Let’s try that again as I dislike deep fried oreos… (?!)

My brain is burnt like a good old fashioned marshmallow…

Hmm. Moving on because I just can’t think of a good metaphor. My brain is *that* worn out.

How about I just wish you all a happy Friday and weekend! Hope to see you on Monday for a MIMM post. No question, just tell me what YOUR BRAIN FEELS LIKE TODAY. I’m going to stick with the marshmallow.

  1. Happy Froday! Seems like you could do with the weekend :). I’ve never worked in a cubicle, hope you get to decorate! My brain has to be 100% today as I have work but then there’s the weekend – wahoo!

  2. Good job on finishing training! I know exactly what you mean about feeling anxious about being let free. I used to get work anxieties all the time…terrified I was doing something wrong or not knowing what to do. It’s got a lot better, now I feel comfortable and only get nervous when doing something new. Which I think is fine. Otherwise you make mistakes because you’re less careful. Just chill out for the weekend, have a good one! šŸ˜€

    • For awhile I thought I was dealing well with work and anxiety because I wasn’t feeling particularly stressed. Or so I thought at least. Eventually I realized that the constant eye twitching, sleeping in on the weekends, and overall increasing grouchy mood whenever I talked to my immediate family were all signs that I wasn’t as alright as I thought. It does take some adjusting.

  3. Well now you have me craving marshmallows… again. I’m pretty sure I’ve finished an entire bag of them this week. And I’ll probably go buy more. Yes, I went there. I don’t like fried oreos either. I don’t know why, but they just don’t appeal to me. There are a million things I’d rather eat.

    • Haha. Me too when looking back at your comment and this post. I’ve been trying to decide whether I like big campfire marshmallows or lucky charms marshmallows better. But then I realized… Why should I have to decide? I think that they should make giant lucky charms designed marshmallows. I would totally buy and roast huge pots of gooey marshmallow gold šŸ˜€

Glad you agree about the oreos! All of my friends in high school were obsessed with them and always bought multiple orders whenever the county fair came around.

  4. Happy Friday! 5 hours of sleep is making our brain feel a little fried too…but congrats on finishing your training! You definitely deserve to celebrate and relax this weekend! Enjoy šŸ™‚

    • Thanks!! It’s been awhile since you left his comment… The wonders of wordpress spam šŸ˜‰ Haha… But I hope you all are getting some more sleep and relaxing over your summer break!

    • Thanks šŸ™‚ The first time I burned my marshmallows I just gave them to my dad because those are his favorite too. I just thought I had done it wrong. The next time though I decided to try them out. Definitely not wrong at all! Just so so right šŸ˜‰

  5. my brain is mush haha…still tired from last weekend and this week…looking forward to a long nap at some point tomorrow šŸ™‚ Congrats on being done with training, hun!!

  6. Happy Friday, and congrats on finishing your training! (Also, that picture of the dog and his human nearly killed me. So adorbz!) I also have burned marshmallow fried brain syndrome, so I can completely relate to this problem. Hope you have a lovely, R&R-filled weekend!

  7. Congrats on finishing training! Oh my goodness- that dog. My brain is feeling a little bit like those marshmallows too, but I look at it as a good thing! That only means that things are getting done. You should feel that way too. Be sure to relax and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

  8. Well Happy Friday my dear. I like your burnt marshmallow imagery; it makes me want a smore. It sounds like an exciting day/week at the office, and I’m glad you survived your solo day. I’m sure you are doing great so hang in there. And get a good night’s rest.

    • I hope you got your s’mores craving fulfilled… šŸ˜€ I’m still hanging in here. Haven’t fallen off the cliff yet. Because that would result in me snapping at a client. And then getting fired. And not the good kind of fire that results in a burnt marshmallow šŸ˜‰

  9. Congrats on being done training! Right now my brain is feeling fairly normal (haha) but yesterday evening it was definitely a burnt marshmallow. Yikes. Have a good weekend!

    • Are you feeling a little more burnt marshmallow-ish with your long days of babysitting now? I loved babysitting, but the constant thinking and having to be on your toes that comes with any job can be so draining!

    • Doesn’t matter if it was the point… šŸ™‚ I agree that they look pretty splendid! Have you ever had one? Personally they are not my favorite, but for some they are heaven in fried form. Ha.
