Liebster… Why Not? (Marvelous in my Monday)

So there once was a day not quite so long ago… Where a super kind, super lovely girl nominated me for an award. The Liebster Award, if we are being specific (which I am).

Usually I am very good about completing surveys as soon as they come up because I dearly love them. This time though it took me awhile, but I’m not putting it off any longer!

Here is how the Liebster Award works…

The nominated blogger has to:

  1. Acknowledge the nominating blogger.
  2. Share 11 random facts about yourself.
  3. Answer 11 questions the nominating blogger has created for you.
  4. List 11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers. They should be bloggers that you believe deserve some recognition and a little blogging love!
  5. Post 11 questions for the bloggers that you nominated to answer.
  6. Let all of the bloggers know that they’ve been nominated.Β Β You cannot nominate the blogger that nominated you.

Off we go!

  1. How nice to read the answers to my questions. I love it, though no. 6 makes me a bit sad 😦 hope you’ll find the cause of your stomach issues soon! “Movie nights with my family” made me remember how my family always did this when I was little. Sometimes I miss being a child πŸ˜‰

  2. I love this and I have to say that a lot of the questions we have similar answers too! πŸ™‚ Also I am so glad someone else finds Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to be the creepiest movie of all time!

    • Cool. Looking forward to your answers!

I love the taste and smell of black licorice. Black jelly beans, licorice tea… the whole shebang. And one year Bath and Body even had black licorice-scented hand sanitizer! They stopped selling it, but I’ve rationed mine quite nicely πŸ˜‰

  3. Aww thanks girl! I love your “anything is possible”day of eats, and I have never been able to wear socks to bed (my mom used to cut the feet off my footie pajamas when I was little). This post also makes me want to dig out my harry potter movies to re-watch and possibly put on a thick striped scarf!

    • Footie pajamas weren’t too fun for me either when I was younger. My mom would always buy the cutest colors/patterns ever but I just got so hot when it actually came to wearing them when sleeping. Haha. Now I can wear them to bed because our dorm room is so cold!!

Next week I am going to bring up at least one HP item, either a book or movie, that way I won’t have to wait for my roommates to pull out one of theirs for us to watch πŸ™‚

  4. Awww, I love what you did with the collages for this post! And so neat to learn little random nuggets about you! Oh and TOTAL HIGH FIVE for knowing how to drive a stick…I think that is something every person should know how to do…you never know, it could be up to you to save a bus full of children hanging of a cliff someday…and you know, obviously the school bus would have a manual transmission! What kind of story would it be if it were easy?! πŸ˜‰

I made a point to get hardwood in my new house before I moved in (in the main living space anyway) and you know what the best part about it is? Running and sliding in your sock feet! Yes, I am aware that I am almost 30 and just admitted to that. #noshame

Mmmm, cookie dough blizzards used to be my favorite! Too bad they put me in the fetal position now! *grumble*

    • Glad you liked the collages πŸ™‚ High five back at you because seeing that you can appreciate the stick shift you probably know how to drive one as well… The main reason I learned how to drive one was because my grandparents gave me their old car with manual transmission so it was either go car-less or learn. And every good rescue story must involve a car with stick shift!

I was just considering the wood floor for easy clean-up and because I liked how it looked. I never even considered the fun factor. Reason #onebillion that I need hardwood in my future abode.

Lol. Fetal position for me as well! I actually haven’t had one since my stomach issues started, but I’ve had dreams where I ate them in spite and if I felt that badly in a dream I can only imagine what it would be like in real life.

  5. “Good Gravy” <– Never heard that one before.. but I love it! I think If i were to say it, Joshua would give me a WTF did you just say type of look, Ha Ha!

  6. Awww thanks Madison. I think survey posts are such fun too, although they always take me forever to write. Oh who am I kidding? All posts take forever for me to write. My issues aside, I really enjoyed this post and surveys in general because you get to learn even more about a person.

A couple of things…let’s list them shall we… (smiles with delight)
    1) You should pursue writing. Follow your heart.
    2) I wish I could say the same for your stomach. I can’t even grasp just how difficult it must be for you and if I could pick one day of eats, I’d gift it to so you can eat whatever you want without consequences.
    3) I think your blog is special because you are open, honest and you, strange dreams and all.
    4) I’m too old for the Harry Potter series, but I like them nonetheless.
    5) I don’t have a fifth thing, but I had to convert excel data into some graphing charts today at work, and it made me think of you.

    • 1. I know. You’re right. As always.
      2. Man this comment is just melting my heart.
      3. haha. I would love to hear about one of your strange dreams! πŸ™‚
      5. You can never be too old for Harry Potter. Unless you are boy crushing on Daniel Radcliffe… there does come a point where too old is too old.
      5. πŸ™‚

  7. LOVE your answers. I’m going to have to do this ASAP! Your questions are seriously so much fun. I have a feeling that I’m going to have a blast doing this! Your collages are adorable too.
