Have you ever been inspired to make something after reading about it in a book?

  1. This. Post. Is. Awesome.

It reminds me of a cookbook I saw which had recipes from a Tv series…maybe Game of Thrones?

I read all the books but I must admit, they progressively got worse! I’m yet to watch any of the movies, but if I had to pick a dish, it would be the hot chocolate. For some reason, it hit home whenever they drank it!

    • Haha. Thank. You. Arman.

I would love to get a cookbook based off of a tv show or movie! I think they actually have one for the first Hunger Games so maybe they’ll make one for this too?

We have such differing opinions on books and tv shows! I loved all of the books. However, the first movie was just alright. Not bad or good. The acting was awesome, but the cinematography? Not so much. Here’s to a new director for Catching Fire!

  2. OMG I love that you did this it is so so awesome!!! 🙂

I think any of the stews would be good but even the toasted nuts sound good.

When I read the book Chocolat by Joanne Harris it made me want to try all the things she described in it for sure!

    • I feel like I have been waiting for Catching Fire to come out forever! I just love the plot of the book and can’t wait to see how it is going to play out on screen. As for the first movie, I thought it was good overall, but I have a feeling the sequel is going to be even better!

  3. This is amazing. I love how thorough you are! Roasted nuts…hot chocolate…the picnic. I love all of this!
Maybe not the same but after watching Game of Thrones I was really keen to drink red wine as that’s all they seemed to be drinking. One glass and it was a no go. Just not my thing. I remember reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and just wanting to try everything. Especially the river of chocolate….omg.

  4. Can’t wait for the movie!! I think a cookbook based on a book/movie (or the universe of said book/movie) would be awesome! That’s kind of what this post reminds me of anyways, and now I really want to go and write a Hobbit cookbook 🙂

  5. Oh girl, this was just awesome! And it made me even more excited to see Catching Fire. I have to admit that I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first movie, so I’m hoping they put a little more effort into the second one.

And right now? The milk and honey drink sounds soooo comforting for a cold night.

  6. So wait, let me ask you a question: Are you going to see The Hunger Games on Friday? LMFAOOOOOOO!!!!! Of course you are. You’ll probably be there at Midnight Thursday? Am I right???

Don’t get mad at me, but I have never read the books/seen the movies. And the first time I ever heard about it, I thought it was a movie about… Eating Disorders!!!!! 😮

PS: I LOVEEEE ROASTED CHESTNUTS!!! I am ALL OVER Chapter 20

  7. Oh my gosh this is AMAZING!!! I am almost done listening to the second book and I can’t WAIT to see the movie! I need to re-watch the first one too. Wow, I am just in awe of the amazingness of this post! Let’s go see the movie together!
